This position performs duties associated with Magnetic Resonance Imaging.

This position may be required to access and administer medications within their scope of practice and according to State Law.

Responsibilities

  • Scans patients according to protocols and parameters with knowledge of trouble shooting MRI systems
  • Archives patient exams
  • Confidently starts IV’s
  • Adapts to different MRI environment (1.5T MRI machines, 3T MRI machines, and MRI machines in the Operating Rooms
  • Functions in different patient monitoring systems throughout the University Hospital and Clinics
  • Follows MRI safety guidelines according to University of Utah policy

  • Demonstrated human relation and effective communication skills.
  • Ability to provide care appropriate to the population served.

Qualifications

Qualifications

Licenses Required

  • One of the following
    • ARRT Registration as Magnetic Resonance Imaging R.T. (MR) (AART).
    • ARRT Registration as a Radiologic Technician R.T. ( R) (ARRT).
  • Basic Life Support Health Care Provider card through American Heart Association or obtain within one month of hire.
  • Current licensure to practice as a Radiologic Technologist in the State of Utah.
* Additional license requirements as determined by the hiring department.

Qualifications (Preferred)

Preferred

  • Three years of technical experience.
