    This position oversees all standard project management processes & procedures, related to assigned projects or programs. The incumbent provides administrative project leadership and support to organization teams and senior stakeholders. The incumbent serves as a liaison between the PgMO team, ITS department and other teams within the organization. Ensuring timely delivery and execution of all projects.

    Responsibilities

    • Coordinates day-to-day management of a small to medium IT, academic, research or administrative project.
    • Leads planning and implementation of a small to medium project.
    • Facilitates usage of standardized project management definitions documentation to include project definition, scope, goals and deliverables.
    • Defines project tasks and resource requirements.
    • Plans and develops project plans; timelines.
    • Tracks project deliverables and monitors budget expenditures using standard project management tools.
    • Provides direction and support to project team.
    • Continuously monitors and reports on progress and quality activities of the project to all stakeholders.
    • Implements and manages project change management, risk management and mitigation actions to achieve project success.
    • Maintains project records, lists and files. Prepares related reports and perform ongoing evaluation of project effectiveness.
    • Provides project tool support to meet departmental/project objectives.
    • Coordinates and/or Facilitates project kick off meetings, workshops, luncheons and other meeting formats within the scope of the project.
    • Performs appropriate project closure that includes evaluation, assessment of results and closure documents.

    • Excellent project communications and outreach skills.
    • Ability to share expertise with internal and external staff. Able to answer project management questions.
    • Understanding of financial systems, resource planning systems and processes with ability to coordinate budget/resources estimates – able to manage actual vs. plan.
    • Understanding and user of project management tools (e.g. Planview, MS Project).
    • Critical thinking, problem solving and decision-making skills.
    • Planning, organizing, delegation skills.
    • Excellent communication skills; able to influence and lead without direct supervisory responsibility.
    • Team player, negotiator, conflict management, adaptable, able to handle stressful situations without direct intervention.

    Qualifications

    Qualifications

    Required

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems, or Business Administration or Computer Science or Health Care Administration or equivalent.
    • Three years of project management or project coordinator experience.

    Qualifications (Preferred)

    Preferred

    • Experience with Telehealth technology platforms.
    • Project Management Professionals (PMPs) with Strong Knowledge of PMI processes.
    • Experience working in a hospital/clinical setting, including interaction with providers.
    • General IT experience.
