Unit Description: Our Maternal Newborn unit provides services to low and high risk postpartum mothers, and serves as a transfer center for surrounding states which exposes our team to many different types of rare and extremely high-risk diagnoses. Our unit has earned the Baby-Friendly USA (BFUSA) designation. As a team member, you rotate through Maternal Newborn, Women’s Special Care, and the Intermediate Care Nursery units to gain experience with different populations. You get to be part of some of those treasured moments and memorable experiences with families and their new baby. This is an extremely rewarding field of nursing.
This position provides patient care at the direction of a Registered Nurse. Requiring direct contact with patients and their families as well as the performance of indirect patient care activities necessary to support patients and their environment.
This position may be required to access medications within their scope of practice and according to State Law.
