SIGN ON BONUS OFFERED!   Hospitals and Clinics is embarking on a new program to attract and retain qualified employees. The program provides a signing bonus for new hired employees at a 0.50 FTE or greater. • The first installment is paid out upon hire within the first 30 days. • The second installment is paid out after 1 year of employment. In order to qualify: • The applying candidate must be an external candidate. • If, at any time during the first twelve (12) months of employment, an eligible employee drops below a .50 FTE, all future bonuses are forfeited, regardless of whether or not they later return to an FTE above .50. • If an eligible employee terminates from the organization and is subsequently rehired, they must have been separated from the organization for a period of at least 3 months before becoming eligible once again for the program. At a .90 FTE, you will receive $675 within the first 30 days of hire and $1125 after 1 year. At a .75 FTE, you will receive $562 within the first 30 days of hire and $937 after 1 year. Sign-on bonuses and payments are taxable income to the employee. The University complies with federal and state regulations on reporting bonuses and payments as additional income to the employee, and paid amounts are considered wages for income and employment tax purposes. This internship is for candidates who are enrolled in the University of Utah School of Social Work and working towards their Master's Degree in a behavioral health field. This position is responsible for the facilitation of clinical work under the supervision of the practicum field instructor. These clinical responsibilities will include patient screening, assessment, treatment/discharge planning and group facilitation. This position will allow for students to practice and perfect their skills that will be required for graduation.   Program overview: The Mental Health First Responders (MH1) is an after-hours mobile, crisis support program for students living in Housing & Residential Education (HRE) buildings that operates seven days a week from 4pm-2am. MH1 can provide field practicum hours in the evenings and on the weekends. Qualified interns will receive crisis intervention training, crisis response planning training, weekly case management supervision, weekly supervision, weekly team meetings, program development, workshop development, outreach to campus, and exposure to group therapy. This field practicum positions come with a stipend. Practicum hours are typically evenings and weekends 5pm-12midnight.
