  • The incumbent provides on-site administrative and technical support to the project manager and project superintendent.
  • This position is specifically responsible for submittals, shop drawings, requests for information, coordination between architects, engineers and clients, and any other duties as assigned by the project manager.
  • This position reports directly to the Senior Director of Facilities Management and works with the Superintendent and Project Manager, among others, to successfully complete all projects on time.
  • This position is not responsible for providing direct patient care.

Responsibilities

  • Reviews specifications and prepares a log of and schedule for required submittals.
  • Reviews submittals for compliance with plans and specifications, compatibility with other trades' submittals, and field conditions.
  • Processes requests for information (RFI's), change orders, and all other change documents.
  • Obtains final job close out items (guarantees, warranties, operation and maintenance manuals, etc.).
  • Coordinates with the superintendent when materials will be required on the jobsite and monitors the progress of fabrication and delivery.
  • Ensures that all materials are in conformance with the contract documents and approved shop drawings, and properly inspected for quantity and quality when received.
  • Ensures that the project is operated in compliance with the contract.
  • Works with the BIM manager to maintain a record set of drawings with all applicable addenda and changes posted thereto.
  • Keeps job meeting minutes.
  • Assists superintendent with scheduling.

  • Demonstrated general knowledge of construction methods and systems used in the construction of projects performed by the organization.
  • Demonstrated advanced knowledge and understanding of scheduling methods.
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of computer operation and understanding of Unifier, Bluebeam, Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook, and P6 Scheduling software.
  • Demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to be proactive, self-motivated, and maintain a positive attitude.
  • Advanced ability in reading and interpreting contracts, plans, and specifications.
  • Knowledge and understanding of safety/ICRA/ALSM methods and procedures.

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, or the equivalency.
  • Two (2) years of related experience.
  • Depending upon department of hire, a valid, State of Utah Driver's License may be required.

Qualifications (Preferred)

  • Hospital construction experience.
