This position has primary responsibility to help create and maintain a Disaster Recovery (DR) services technology framework and architecture that will be leveraged in University of Utah and University of Utah Health initiatives. It is responsible for coordinating and directing DR information technology design project activities as well as providing technology direction in support of DR project and support teams. This includes providing technical and architectural expertise in support of DR computing and automation efforts, including the design of cloud platform environments. It works with decision makers in other departments to identify, recommend, develop, implement, and support cost-effective DR information technology solutions. It will improve DR cloud adoption success throughout the organization. Analyzes business DR objectives and corresponding technology requirements to ensure that IT solutions will offer business DR resiliency and security and will be effectively integrated with current architectures. Offers consultative support regarding new technologies and system requirements. This position reports within the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) organization.
