Overview

This SharePoint developer position will be responsible for architecting, implementing, and maintaining enterprise SharePoint and SharePoint Online environments for the organization. Utilize server-side , client-side, and database tools to create websites from concept to finished product (front-end and back-end). Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand needs and translate into technical requirements. Possess functional knowledge of all layers of computer software development. Proficiency in server, network, and hosting environments, relational and non-relational databases, how to interact with APIs, user interface/experience, quality assurance, version control systems, and security. Work closely with other engineers, designers, and leadership to build, test, and deploy new features and products, creating the most effective and efficient web applications with well-documented code. Create tools that enhance how users see and interact with the site, taking into consideration accessibility, usability, multi-browser compatibility and performance. Implement security and data protection and monitor and reduce cyber security risk.

Responsibilities

  • Analyzes and evaluates existing systems with minimal oversight and defines problems, data availability, reports requirements and system designs issues.
  • Develops plans for IT systems from project inception to conclusion.
  • Analyzes the problem and information to be processed, defines the problem and develops system requirements and program specifications from which programmers prepared detailed flowcharts, programs, and tests.
  • Designs and develops software modules.
  • Develops user interfaces to software.
  • Works in an integrated team environment of engineers and others.

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities

  • Ability to assess the situation, diagnose symptoms and causes of issues, determine goals and recommend actions to either meet goals or rectify issues, based on analysis of information.
  • Excellent knowledge of systems and software design.
  • Excellent knowledge of software engineering principles.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of.NET, C#, Java, J2E, Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, SharePoint, System Center Operations Manager, Virtualization Technologies, Team Foundation Server, etc.
  • Solid understanding of Software Development Lifecycle process.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills and ability to discuss requirements modeling, development and system level requirements with non-technical personnel.
  • Expertise in secured WEB design and development.
  • Background in systems and network administration a valuable plus.

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
  • Three years of web and software development experience.

Qualifications (Preferred)

Preferred

  • Experience with SharePoint and SharePoint Online.
  • Strong proficiency in multiple server-side languages and databases including C#. 
  • Experience with front-end frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, Vue.js, Typescript).
  • In-depth understanding of web security and data protection.
  • Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git, DevOps) and collaborative development workflows.
  • Ability to write and maintain technical documentation.
  • Knowledge of Power Automate and Power Apps.
  • Working knowledge of MS Graph and Rest APIs.
  • Experience with creation of SPFx solutions.
