Overview

We are seeking a new and experienced Sourcer to join our award-winning Talent Acquisition team at University of Utah Health!

 

The Professional Sourcer partners closely with the Talent Acquisition Consultant Seniors and Recruiters (Talent Acquisition Partners) to understand staffing needs then develop and implement a proactive, innovative sourcing strategy focused on critical, difficult and visible roles in a service line.

 

This role helps ensures consistency of employer brand to attract and recruit top talent. The Professional Sourcer will creatively source, assess and select qualified applicants to be referred as candidates for open searches including networking and cultivating a talent pipeline.

 

The Professional Sourcer will also be responsible for creating a positive customer experience to applicants. This role will anticipate industry trends and utilizes labor market information to ensure best-in-class candidate sourcing.

 

This position is not responsible for providing care to patients.

 

Qualified Applicants must have:

  • Two years experience with and knowledge of sourcing effectiveness, screening, interviewing, selection and candidate assessment techniques.
  • Experience with using electronic media, social networking, internet research, candidate mining, and professional organizations to source candidates and build talent pipelines.
  • Successful experience directly soliciting passive candidates via the phone or have related inside sales experience.
  • Ability to travel and availability to work weekends.

Additional qualifications preferred in this role:

  • Bachelor Degree in Communications, Sales, Marketing, Human Resources or related field.
  • Demonstrated success working independently, forging relationships, and managing multiple tasks that meet or exceed deadlines with minimal direction.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, influencing, listening, fact finding and problem solving.

Responsibilities

  • Works closely with the Acquisition Partner(s) to understand staffing needs and develop a proactive, innovative sourcing/recruitment strategy to attract and recruit top talent.
  • Develops and executes a proactive, innovative, cost-effective recruitment/sourcing strategy to target qualified applicants for vacancies.
  • Performs advanced sourcing including social media, internet and data base mining, developing relationships with professional organizations, colleges and schools, community agencies to identify and recruit candidates for all positions.
  • Conducts cold calls to passive candidates to present opportunities for critical, difficult and visible positions.
  • Performs structured screening and assessment to ensure applicants meet both job and organization requirements and makes recommendation to the Acquisition Partner on the referral of the qualified candidates.
  • Develops and maintains network and database of potential candidates for future reference including pipeline of passive candidates.
  • Coordinates and attends all community outreach events such as internal and external career fairs, school visits, etc.
  • Other duties as assigned including special projects.

  • Demonstrated ability to perform the essential functions as outlined above.
  • Uses social networking tools and technology to source qualified, passive candidates by selling the organization.
  • Engages and recruits passive candidates (recruiting top talent in the industry).
  • Builds relationships and creates candidate pipelines for future needs within lines of business supported.
