  • The incumbent provides oversight and management of all aspects of the space planning and project scoping process.
  • Elements of success include maintenance of positive relationships, professional and timely processing of invoices, upholding standards of safety and quality, effective time management, and budget control.
  • This position works with organizational leaders to successfully scope projects and strategically manage space requests.
  • This position is not responsible for providing direct patient care.

Responsibilities

  • Assists senior planners with the planning and management of the organization’s space needs.
  • Works with senior planners on the team to identify objectives, prioritize needs, formulate options, develop project scopes of work, schematic level plans, and visual data that can be used for executive approvals and further design development.
  • Coordinates and supports interaction between planners, users, affected departments, and outside consultants to help resolve architectural programming/planning problems.
  • Records and maintains essential building plans and tracking/mapping systems.
  • Builds-out historical and searchable data sources to support system planning efforts.
  • Prepares internal facing presentation materials, including reports, 3D visual studies, and translate metrics into visual information.
  • Scopes facility capital project space and budget requests under the supervision of senior planners.

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities

  • Planning experience, preferably in healthcare.
  • Experience working with various software platforms and coordinating information across multiple groups.
  • Willingness to learn new software skills lead initiatives to implement new tools.
  • Willingness to support the team and recognize skills, areas, or processes that could be improved.
  • Demonstrated excellence in design, innovation, and graphic presentations.
  • Experience with healthcare related projects from programming/concept design through design development.
  • Experience working in a collaborative environment with design teams, consultants, and clients.
  • Familiarity with issues surrounding innovative healthcare strategic planning, Master Planning, building codes, and programming.
  • Strong organizational and presentation skills.
  • The ability to collaborate with others across organizations and departments to promote a strategic perspective.

Qualifications

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or related field.
  • One (1) year of related architectural, construction, planning, healthcare, or similar work experience.

Qualifications (Preferred)

Preferred

  • Experience in AutoCAD, Revit, Archibus, ArcGIS, and 3d visualization techniques.
  • Experience in data tacking, compilation, and visualization.
