Additional Description:
Kidstar is a day treatment program (also known as partial hospital program or PHP) for children with complex and severe mental and behavioral health concerns. We provide intensive care for children 5 days a week for 7 hours each day with multidisciplinary teams including psychiatric technicians, psychologists, social workers, psychiatrists, education specialists, expressive/recreational therapists, and clinical dietitians. Psychiatric technicians work directly with patients throughout the day in a school-like setting at HMHI in Research Park. Psychiatric technicians are a vital and valued part of treatment teams in Kidstar, both providing input for development and implementation of treatment plans. Our technician team also interfaces with our patients’ guardians daily to provide updates are progress and serves as conduit for information between families and the treatment program.
Assists with maintaining a safe and hazard free environment by observing and documenting patient behavior, conducting patient room searches, reporting unsafe conditions and applying appropriate emotional and physical support.
