As part of the HR Communications and Learning team within the Human Resources Department, this position will focus on thoughtful, high-quality, and high-impact visual storytelling through short-form video production and design. This position will also focus on establishing and maintaining brand identity across all HR channels. This position is not responsible for providing direct patient care.

Responsibilities

Essential Functions

  • Plan, script, film, edit, and produce short-form communications videos, executive message clips, and multimedia elements for various HR channels in coordination with colleagues in HR and other functions across U of U Health.
  • Create visually compelling graphics, infographics, campaign collateral, and event assets for major HR initiatives, employee engagement programs, leadership presentations, and various HR channels.
  • Partner with Learning team members to produce graphics, quick-reference job aids, and multimedia content for leadership development micro-learning modules.
  • Establish and maintain an organized, accessible, and centralized digital asset library (photos, video files, graphics, templates, and source files) across platform repositories to ensure media can be easily searched, updated, version-controlled, and repurposed.
  • Establish, maintain, and evolve consistent graphic design themes, templates, and visual brand standards for all HR-related collateral material that generally aligns with system brand standards.
  • Support and assist with HR-sponsored events, including developing visual design themes and templates, providing in-person support, and creating collateral material.
  • Work with Learning team members visual design concepts for training content and support other team and departmental functions as required.

  • High proficiency with desktop publishing, graphic design, video and audio software and hardware.

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, illustration, web development, communications, business, or a related field.
  • Four years of design and multimedia experience.

Qualifications (Preferred)

Preferred

  • Master’s degree in a related field.
  • Six years of design and multimedia experience.
