Sign-on Bonus – Certified Hand Therapist   The University of Utah Health Hospitals and Clinics is embarking on a new program to attract and retain Certified Hand Therapists. The program provides a signing bonus for new hired Certified Hand Therapist at a 0.50 FTE or greater.  Signing bonus   A signing bonus is available for new hired Certified Hand Therapists, prorated to the Certified Hand Therapists FTE. The bonus is structured as follows: - The applying Certified Hand Therapist must be an external candidate. - The first installment is paid out upon hire. - The second installment is paid out after twelve (12) months of employment.   Additional details - Bonus will be paid for those attending New Employee Orientation starting on July 1, 2021 until June 30, 2023. - If, at any time during the first one (1) year of employment, a Certified Hand Therapist drops below a .50 FTE, all future bonuses are forfeited, regardless of whether or not they later return to an FTE above .50. - If an eligible Certified Hand Therapist terminates from the organization and is subsequently rehired, they must have been separated from the organization for a period of at least one year before becoming eligible once again for the program. - The incentive payments are taxable, and all regular payroll taxes will be withheld.
