Hospitals and Clinics is embarking on a new program to attract and retain qualified Healthcare Assistants (HCAs). The program provides a signing bonus for new hired HCAs at a 0.50 FTE or greater.
- The first installment is paid out upon hire within the first 30 days.
- The second installment is paid out after nine (9) months of employment.
In order to qualify:
- The applying HCA must be an external candidate.
- Must start position before March 31, 2024.
- If, at any time during the first nine (9) months of employment, an eligible HCA drops below a .50 FTE, all future bonuses are forfeited, regardless of whether or not they later return to an FTE above .50.
- If an eligible HCA terminates from the organization and is subsequently rehired, they must have been separated from the organization for a period of at least 3 months before becoming eligible once again for the program.

This position is responsible for coordinating dispatch services between requested departments. The incumbent uses a multi-line telephone system to receive and relay information to the appropriate units and creates and logs encounters. This position routinely works with clinicians and physicians to help coordinate throughput and placement of patients.

This position provides the technical functions associated with the delivery of clinical pharmacy services by maintaining proper stock levels in all pharmacy locations, compounding or otherwise preparing, filling, pricing, and delivering pharmaceuticals or other related items. The incumbent may perform duties such as entering prescriptions, completing reports, operating and maintaining automated dispensing devices, inputting computer data, and providing all aspects of customer service that are required to provide Pharmacy Department services. This position completes the essential functions of the job under the direct supervision of a Pharmacist. As a Pharmacy Technician II, this position provides advanced services such as IV therapy, preparation of chemotherapy, maintenance of automated dispensing machines, narcotic coordination, investigational drug therapy, billing/coding. Technician II incumbents are expected to plan, coordinate, and implement training programs for other staff. Technician IIs have a higher level of responsibility for departmental and organizational problem solving.

This position is responsible for performing various direct patient care activities in the endoscopy unit under the supervision of a physician. They may assist with medical procedures, and ensure that all the equipment is functioning properly. Employees in this position may be required to take call on a rotating basis. The student maintains constant vigilance for the maintenance of the sterile field and assists with maintaining equipment and instruments. While completing clinical rotations, all student activities associated with the Surgical Technology college curriculum will be educational in nature. Surgical Tech student employees are in a "learning role" and will not be substituted for a trained employee within the clinical institution in the capacity of a competent surgical technologist.
