Inpatient Medical Psychiatry (formerly known as 5 West) is seeking a new an experienced Clinical Nurse Coordinator to join our nursing leadership team!   This position is responsible for assisting with the management of the patient care department by; coordinating staff development/education, quality improvement activities, scheduling staff hours, and performing other duties to facilitate nursing care for patients. Works under the direction of the Nurse Manager/department leadership and in conjunction with other members of the management team.   Unit Description: Our Inpatient Medical Psychiatry one of the very few units in the valley that takes psychiatric patients with co-morbid medical issues and patients including but not limited to those that struggle with:  • Eating disorders  • Psychosis/schizophrenia  • Overdoses  • Suicide attempts  • Detox  • Developmental delays We are a great unit for medical and psych nurses alike. Medical nurses enjoy practicing their soft skills, while psych nurses can practice their nursing skills that may have been underused in a psychiatric setting. This is especially true for new grads who are transitioning into the workforce and looking to get a solid foundation in nursing skills and soft skills. Our unit is relatively small, which allows many of our staff to get to know each other more intimately. THE UNIVERSITY OF UTAH IS HIRING INTERVENTIONAL RADIOLOGIC TECHNOLOGISTS TO JOIN OUR GROWING TEAM!  At the U we perform a wide variety of cases, both outpatient based and inpatient cases, often which are emergency and life-saving procedures. Our Interventional Radiology (IR) division is growing and we have a diverse group of energetic physicians (growing from 4 to 9), wonderful nurse colleagues and a solid cadre of enthusiastic techs. We are expanding in case volume and facilities and need more technologists to help with this busy and exciting time in our IR group. We recently opened our new state of the art facility at University Hospital inclusive of 3 procedure bays as well as our own prep and recovery floor. In addition to University Hospital, we operate out of the Clinical Neurosciences as well as the newly remodeled Huntsman Cancer Hospital each offering exposure to unique patient populations. Graduating X-ray students, current X-ray students and current IR techs or techs of other modalities are all encouraged to apply. We train all new hires for a period of 4 months to allow full exposure to the wide breadth of procedures that are done here at the U. A signing bonus is available for new hired HCAs, prorated to the HCA’s FTE. The bonus is structured as follows: - The applying HCA must be an external candidate. - The first installment is paid out upon hire. - The second installment is paid out after twelve (12) months of employment.
