This position may be required to access and administer medications within their scope of practice and according to State Law.   Primary Responsabilities for the Moran Nurse: - Assists patients and photographers in our Imaging Department, placing an IV needle and pushing Fluorescein for the angiography tests. - Overseeing the minor procedure room in clinic, assisting with procedures done there including cryoretinopexy, tap and inject of the vitreous and lumbar puncture. - Ensuring the procedure room is stocked and cleaned, crash cart and refrigerator checked, and compliance with DNV guidelines. - Working with sterile processing in our surgery center to get instruments cleaned. - Patient medication refills, reviewing the patient chart for information that the med should be refilled under physician guidelines, work with physician when changes to script need to be made.  Refills are for multiple providers, upwards of 20.
