This position is responsible for providing patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. Providing direct contact with patients and their families as well as the performance of indirect patient care activities necessary to support patients and their environment. Once the incumbent successfully passes nursing board exams and is licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Utah, the incumbent must apply for a Clinical Nurse position to be promoted.

This position provides clinical expertise and coordination of care and services aimed at enhancing patient-centered care and maximizing outcomes across the patient care continuum from pre-admission through discharge, including monitoring patient care to ensure progress towards desired outcomes, addressing patient and family needs, resolving obstacles to effective care and together with the interdisciplinary team, planning for patient discharge. This position may be required to access and administer medications within their scope of practice and according to State Law.

This position is an integral member of the Anesthesia care team and is responsible for performing technical functions relating to the administration of anesthesia, and ensuring adequate supplies are maintained. This position provides exceptional care for our patients and guests by offering them professional service and creating a memorable patient experience. The incumbent accurately and professionally handles all desk operations including, but not limited to, all phases of the patient registration and scheduling process. They will also advise patients on financial obligations which may include the establishment of payment plans. The core responsibilities of this role maximize efficiency through facilitating and ensuring the accuracy of the information flow between medical staff, hospital staff, and other various departments.

Performs routine activities as defined in the treatment plan, and provides clerical support in the daily operation of the therapy clinics. The incumbent works under the immediate supervision of the therapist to assist with specific treatment plans. The therapist directs and monitors each patient care task performed by the aide.

This position assists the surgical team by acting in the role of the scrub person who handles the instruments, supplies, and equipment during surgical procedures under the direct supervision of a qualified preceptor. The student maintains constant vigilance for the maintenance of the sterile field and assists with maintaining equipment and instruments. While completing clinical rotations, all student activities associated with the Surgical Technology college curriculum will be educational in nature. Surgical Tech student employees are in a "learning role" and will not be substituted for a trained employee within the clinical institution in the capacity of a competent surgical technologist.
