Outreach teams go to homes, schools, shelters, work, or anywhere else in the community where a person is experiencing a crisis. A two person team is in place to support emergency department and justice system diversion. Teams will have cars and equipment to complete most of their work in the field. Teams will be managed and dispatched by an MCOT Dispatcher in real time using a GPS location program to dispatch a team to the location of the person in crisis in order to achieve the needed and best outcome.   The main objectives of mobile crisis services are to provide rapid response, assess the individual, and resolve crisis situations that involve children and adults who are presumed or known to have a behavioral disorder. Additional work includes linking people to needed services to reduce psychiatric hospitalizations, including hospitalizations that follow psychiatric ED admissions.    Essential functions of mobile crisis services include: - Triage/screening, including explicit screening for suicidality - Assessment - De-escalation/resolution - Peer support - Coordination with medical and behavioral health services: and - Crisis Response planning and follow-up.  Huntsman Mental Health Institute Crisis Website

Utah Statewide CrisisLine is maintained 24/7 through a comprehensive telephonic system staffed by mental health professionals capable of assessing any individual experiencing a self-defined crisis situation, leading to appropriate crisis stabilization and making appropriate referrals.   A Crisis Worker may perform screening and triage, psycho-social support, and connection to appropriate resources through call or text. Services also include collaboration with local mental health authorities in the state of Utah. As such, the Statewide CrisisLine operates as a dispatch for Mobile Crisis Outreach Teams across the state of Utah. Primary duties are working on the Utah Crisis Line providing crisis intervention via chat/text. SIGN ON BONUS OFFERED! Hospitals and Clinics is embarking on a new program to attract and retain qualified Healthcare Assistants (HCAs). The program provides a signing bonus for new hired HCAs at a 0.50 FTE or greater.  The first installment is paid out upon hire within the first 30 days. The second installment  is paid out after nine (9) months of employment. In order to qualify:  The applying HCA must be an external candidate. Must start position before December 31, 2023.  If, at any time during the first nine (9) months of employment, an eligible HCA drops below a .50 FTE, all future bonuses are forfeited, regardless of whether or not they later return to an FTE above .50.
